I like Kinfield! Also SunTegrity's self-tanner is great.

Alden thanks for this list. SO helpful as always. Been looking for this list my whole life really, and need to change up my skin care routine include SPF. Question — could you share the exact product name of the COOLA tinted moisturizer with SPF you use? I’m on the website and it looks like it’s only SPF 30. I have fair easy to burn skin so I’m wondering if I should go with their Face sunscreen (SPF 50)….? Maybe SPF 30 is sufficient for regular days not spent at the beach? I love the idea of a light foundation with SPF…

It’s the Rosiliance tinted moisturizer! I wear it every day. For outdoor days I put on a face sunscreen. Usually La Roche Posay I’ve brought back in bulk from Europe lol. But I think Coola’s would work well too! It’s sold in Europe as well, which is a great sign.

For my face, I use Kosas DreamBeam for tinted and Dr Dennis Gross for untinted. I think they’re both great, especially for mineral sunscreens

When it comes to body, I struggle with mineral sunscreen since they tend to not spread well. Alden, curious what you use in terms of nontoxic chemical sunscreens for body?

I totally agree about mineral sunscreen. I hate it! And it doesn't seem to work very well. Wrote about it here: https://ecocult.com/im-giving-non-toxic-sunscreen/

Whenever a friend goes to Europe, I ask them to bring me back some European sunscreen. Barring that, I buy the American version of French sunscreens. Not quite as good because of weird FDA regulations, but close: La Roche Posay is my favorite.
